WEST LAFAYETTE -- Newcomerstown High slipped to 0-2 in the Inter-Valley Conference golf standings with a 171-207 setback to visiting Tuscarawas Central Catholic at Hickory Flats Golf Course on Monday

Leading the Trojans (1-5 overall) was Jared Brooks with a 44, followed by Zach Gibson( 45) Lincoln Shaw (58) and Codi Rothacher (60).

Doug Ross turned in a round of 39 to claim medalist honors for the Saints (1-0, 1-0 IVC).

COSHOCTON -- The Indian Valley High golf team swept a three-school match at Hilltop Golf Club on Tuesday.

The Braves' total of 167 was a single stroke better than runner-up Zanesville Rosecrans, which tallied a 168. Host River View trailed with 183.

Indian Valley's Mitchell Lehigh took medalist honors for the day with a one-over par 37. Other scores for the Braves were Shawn Mills, 39; Brett Rentsch, 43; and Jadan Hartzler, 48.

DOVER --Indian Valley High ran its record to 11-1 with a triangular victory at Union Country Club on Wednesday.

The Braves finished with a 175-stroke total, followed by Tuscarawas Central Catholic with 181 and Conotton Valley with 189.

IV's Shawn Mills was the match medalist with a 38. Mitchell Lehigh carded a 41; Jadan Hartzler posted a 45 and Brett Rentsch had a 51.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Newcomerstown High remained winless in Inter-Valley Conference golf play as the Trojans hosted Strasburg on Wednesday at Hickory Flats Golf Course, with the Tigers winning 171-227.

Strasburg (5-1, 2-0 IVC) was led by co-medalists as Austin Eckhardt and Mitch Spinell each carded a score of 40, while Matthew Neidenthal added a 45 and Matt Krupa shot a 46.

The Trojans (1-6, 0-3 IVC) were paced by Zach Gibson, who fired a 50. Other scorers for Newcomerstown was Jared Brooks with a 53, Lincoln Shaw at 61 and Codi Rothacher at 63.

MASSILLON -- Indian Valley High grabbed a third place finish in the PAC-7 Midseason Tournament held at the Legends Golf Course on Saturday.

The Braves finished with 346 points, with Tusky Valley taking the title with a total of 333 and CCVA in second with 338.

Medalist for the event was Boog Andrews of CCVA with a round of 72.

Mitchell Lehigh led the Braves with 87, followed by Shawn Mills with 87, Jaden Hartzler with 90 and Bret Penick finished with 92.
