WEST LAFAYETTE -- The Indian Valley High girls' golf team came out on top in action with Ridgewood and Philo on Monday at Hickory Flats Golf Course.

The Lady Braves took the win with 202, while the Lady Generals tallied 223 for second and Philo was third with 251.

Kelli Carroll led Indian Valley with a 45, followed by Amber Ruscin (49), Kristen Eckhardt (54), Hunter Specht (54), Amanda Jones (58) and Kara Barger (67).

Ridgewood was paced by Paige Lane with a 41 to grab medalist honors, along with Samantha Wilson (53), Amanda Matchett (62) and Kaitlyn Finton (67).

MORRISTOWN -- Behind match medalist Jared Brooks, Newcomerstown High won a quadrangular golf match at Crooked Creek Golf Course over Monroe Central and two Barnesville squads.

It was Newcomerstown edging Monroe Central, 184-188, for the win. The Barnesville Green squad fired a team 210 and the 'Rocks White unit finished with a 224 tally.

Brooks, who carded a sizzling three-over 38 on the back nine at Crooked Creek, was followed in scoring for the Trojans (4-9) by Zach Gibson with a 42, Tance Brandon with a 48 and Lincoln Shaw rounded out the team scoring with an even 50.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Visiting Malvern High scored a 173-219 victory over Newcomerstown at Hickory Flats Golf Course on Tuesday.

Earning medalists honors for Malvern (9-2, 4-1 IVC) was Mitchell Loomis with a 41. Other Hornet scores included Tanner Bower (43), Noah McKinney (44), Cameron Glick (45) and Nick Mohr (45).

Jared Brooks led Newcomerstown (4-10, 0-7 IVC) with a 42 followed by Zach Gibson (47), Lincoln Shaw (60) and Cody Rothacher (70).

BOLIVAR --Indian Valley High dropped a 159-169 decision to Tuscarawas Valley at Wilkshire Golf Course on Tuesday.

Peyton Ziegler (38); led Tusky Valley (10-0) with a 39 followed by Evan Walsh (39), Cam Barr (39) and Tanner Johnson (43).

The low man for Indian Valley (17-6) was Shawn Mills with a 39 followed by Mitchell Lehigh (41), Bret Penick (43) and Brett Rentsch (46).

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Rebounding from a tough league loss Tuesday, the Indian Valley Braves bested visiting Tuslaw at River Greens Golf Course on Wednesday by a 171-202 score.

Mitchell Lehigh was match medalist and paced the Braves (18-6) carding a 38. He was followed by Jaden Hartzler with a 43, Shawn Mills firing a 44 and Brett Rentsch rounded out the team scoring shooting a 46.

Adam Maynard led Tuslaw with a score of 48.

WEST LAFAYETTE--Host Indian Valley knocked the Tusky Valley golfers from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 164-170 triumph on Thursday at River Greens Golf Course.

Medalist Shawn Mills fired a one-over 37 to lead the Braves. Mitchell Lehigh nearly matched his teammate with a 38 while freshmen Jaden Hartzler and Brett Rentsch posted scores of 43 and 46, respectively.

"Today was a real solid effort by our team," commented IV coach Kevin Krysty. "We continued to improve. We are going to need to post a team score in the 320s if we want to advance past the sectional level and I think we're on pace to do that."

Tusky Valley got 42s from Kim Barr and Payton Ziegler.

WEST LAFAYETTE-- Visiting Dover High posted an easy 177-223 high school girls' golf win over Ridgewood at River Greens on Thursday.

Ridgewood was paced by Paige Lane, with a 47. Teammate Samantha Wilson carded a 49. Kaitlyn Finton posted a 59 and Amanda Matchett carded a 68.

Dover's Katlyn Shutt's 41 was good for medalist honors.
