WEST LAFAYETTE -- The Indian Valley Braves claimed a win in a triangular Monday over New Philadelphia and Tuscarawas Central Catholic at River Greens Golf Course. The Braves shot a team score of 168, with New Philadelphia coming in at 178 and TCC close behind at 179.

Mitchell Lehigh led Indian Valley (12-3) and claimed match medalist honors by carding a 39. He was followed by Shawn Mills and Bret Penick each shooting a 42 and Jaden Hartzler rounded out the team scoring with 45.

New Philadelphia was paced by Taylor Enama with a 42 while Central Catholic was led by Andrew Cugliari, who shot a 41.

SUGARCREEK -- With just three golfers on the course, the Ridgewood Lady Generals dropped a Inter-Valley Conference match to host Garaway at Willandale Golf Course on Monday.

Garaway fired a team score of 194, but Ridgewood couldn't field a fourth score therefore had no team score.

Individually for the Lady Generals (3-27 overall, 3-14 dual, 1-2 IVC) Paige Lane led the way firing a 46. She was follow by Samantha Wilson with a 50 and Kaitlyn Finton finished with a 71.

Ashleigh Rothacher paced the Lady Pirates and took medalist honors carding a 41.

MASSILLON --Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy captured the Pac-7 postseason tournament title at The Legends Course on Wednesday, but Tuscarawas Valley claimed the overall league title when combining their postseason score with that from the preseason tournament.

CVCA had a team total of 329 strokes in the postseason event, with Indian Valley as the runner-up with 343 and Tusky Valley third with 344.

Bowe Andrews of CVCA carded a 71 to earn "Player of the Year" honors.

Indain Valley's Sean Mills finished second with a 78 while Tusky Valley's Garrett Thompson (82) was third and Cam Barr (84) was fourth. The Braves were third behind TV and CVCA in the combined standings.

Tusky Valley's Terry Thompson was named "Coach of the Year" in the league.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Indian Valley High finished second in a triangular match at River Greens Golf Course on Thursday. Dover won with a 163-stroke total followed by Indian Valley (168) and Claymont (179).

Indian Valley's Sean Mills was the match medalist with a 34. Other scores for the Braves were Jadan Hartzler (41), Mitchell Lehigh (46) and Quinten Vickers (47).

MINERVA -- The Ridgewood High girls' golf team placed 13th of 14 squads in the Tri-County Golf League Postseason Tourney at Great Trail Golf Course on Thursday.

The Ridgewood scores were as follows: Paige Lane, 86; Samantha Wilson, 98; Amanda Matchett, 123; Kaitlyn Finton, 129. Lane was named to the first team all-tourney team and was also named to the first feam for the season in the South Division. Teammate Wilson was named to the second team in the South Division.

Tuesday's event was won by Dover, with a score of 342. Strasburg took the runner-up spot with a 366 followed by Claymont, 376; Canton Central Catholic, 377; Carrollton, 389; Louisville, 392; Garaway, 395; Minerva, 405; New Philadelphia, 416; Salem, 418; Indian Valley, 427; Sandy Valley, 428; and Marlington, 451.

Dover's Courtney Shutt took medalist honors with a 74.

Ridgewood's overall record is 4-39.

SUGARCREEK -- Garaway High captured the Inter-Valley Conference golf tourney on Thursday at Willandale Golf Club with a score of 313,.

The Pirates easily outdistanced runners-up Hiland and Malvern, which each finished at 348, but Hiland took second on a tie-breaker.

Fourth and fifth place was close as Strasburg's 356 edge out Tusky Catholic's 357. Finishing sixth was Sandy Valley with 375 followed by Ridgewood at 376 and Newcomerstown at 489.

Garaway's Cody Mast captured medalist honors by firing a 74.

Newcomerstown's results included Jared Brooks (94), Zach Gibson (105), Lincoln Shaw (141) and Tance Brandon (149).

The final IVC league results showed Garaway on top with 23 points. The remainder of the conference finished as follows: 2. Strasburg, 16; 3. Hiland, 15; 4. Malvern, 13; 5. Tuscarawas Central Catholic, Ridgewood, 11 each; 7. Sandy Valley, 9; 8. Newcomerstown, 2.

Ridgewood's individual scores included Tyler Davis (76), Howie Young (91), Wesley Cochran (100) and Nathan Hoffman (109).

NEXT-- Newcomerstown plays in the Division III Sectional Tournament at Willandale on Tuesday.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Indian Valley claimed eighth place and Ridgewood finished 19th in the Eastern District Open Golf Tournament at River Greens Golf Course on Saturday.

The Braves carded a team score of 335, while the Generals finished with a team total of 351.

East Liverpool was the team winner with a score of 311, while St. Clairsville and Carrollton each finished at 318.

Blake Prince of East Liverpool claimed match medalist honors shooting a two-under par 70.

Indian Valley was paced by Mitchell Lehigh, who carded a 79. He was followed by Shawn Mills (82), Bret Penick (89) and Jaden Hartzler (95).

Ridgewood was led by Ty Davis who carded a 75. Others making up the team score for the Generals were Wesley Cochran (89), Howie Young (92) and Sam Bucher (95).
