Newcomerstown High dominated a boys' track meet on Tuesday, defeating Tusky Catholic and Malvern. The Trojans' superior depth allowed them to rack up 86 points, easily outdistancing Tusky (45) and Malvern (30).
Five Trojans won individual events. They were Chandler Shryock (110 hurdles), Cody Hall (200), Chris Deal (discus), Steve Poe (high jump and long jump) and Brett Burrier (pole vault).
Newcomerstown also captured a pair of relay events. The quartet of Bril Dansby, Cody Hall, Bret Burrier and Chandler Shryock took the 4x100 and the group of Dansby, Austin King, Hall and Dylan Anderson swept the 4x200.
Visiting Malvern captured the girls' meet with 66 points. The Lady Trojans finished in the runner-up spot with 51, while TCC (34) and Conotton Valley (14) completed the field.
A trio of Lady Trojans claimed individual event wins -- Alexes Sanders (800), Krista McVey (discus) and Monica Mowery (pole vault). The 4x400 team of Sanders, McKala Goodwin, Ashley Wheeler and Hope Mozena also prevailed.

GNADENHUTTEN -- Visiting Triway swept a PAC dual track meet with host Indian Valley High on Tuesday.
Triway's boys scored an 85.66-51.33 triumph while the Triway girls bested the Lady Braves 76-61.
In the boys' meet, Indian Valley got individual event wins from Ryan Pastercak (low hurdles/15.7), Travis Olinger (100/11.4 and 200/23.1), Dan Johnson (300 hurdles/44.4), Ross Love (pole vault/11-6) and Austin Menafee (800/2:17.3).
Also earning first place points for the Braves were the 3200 meter relay (9:21.3) and 800 (1:36.3) meter realy teams.
In the girls' meet, Lady Brave winners were Paige Saho (1600/5:22.8), Courtney Emler (400/1:03.5) and Emily Probert (800/2:37) along with a trio of relay contingents in the 3200 (10:58.1), the 4x200 (1:53.4) and the 4x400 (4:15).
