UHRICHSVILLE -- A three-run fifth inning rally helped lift the Indian Valley High Lady Braves past host Claymont High by a 7-2 final in non-league softball action on Tuesday.

Amanda Jones picked up the pitching win for the Lady Braves (9-5), with a complete game outing with three Ks and no walks. Hayley Deibolt was tagged with the defeat for the Lady Mustangs.

Bre Renard led the Indian Valley' offense with a home run and single, while Baili Fox added a triple, single and five RBIs and Jamie Beamer finished with a double and single.

Tessa Kamban and Deibolt each ripped doubles for Claymont.

NEW PHILADELPHIA -- A rough first inning proved to much to overcome for the Ridgewood High Lady Generals on Tuesday in a 4-2 loss to the host Tuscarawas Central Catholic Lady Saints in Inter-Valley Conference softball action.

RHS struggled on defense with three errors in the first inning and the Lady Saints took advantage to tally three big runs.

Ericka Michael (4-8) took the loss for the Lady Generals, hurling a complete game with two strikeouts and no walks. Drew Appis also went the distance to collect the win for TCC, finishing with four strikeouts and no walks.

Ridgewood (5-14, 3-6 IVC) tallied nine hits in the contest with Kalynn Bluck leading the way with a double, single and two RBIs, while Brianna Grace and Emily McCoy each chipped in with a pair of basehits.

Appis laced a double and single to lead the Lady Saints' offense, with Gabby Fredericks adding a pair of singles.

Newcomerstown 6,

Hiland 2

NEWCOMERSTOWN -- State-ranked Newcomerstown High picked up a 6-2 victory over visiting Hiland High on Tuesday in a Inter-Valley Conference softball match-up.

Sporting an impressive 16-2 mark entering the night, the Lady Trojans held down the number four spot in this week's Division III Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association poll.

Newcomerstown wasted little time in flexing its muscle, posting a big five run first inning to grab control early.

Freshman pitcher Karlee Peach (4-0) picked up the pitching win in relief of starter Jayde Bricker for Newcomerstown (17-2, 6-2 IVC). Peach finished with three strikeouts and no walks. Marissa Mast took the loss for Hiland (2-13, 0-9 IVC), with two Ks and two walks.

Senior slugger Allie Hinton led the Lady Trojans' offense with a single, double and RBI, while Aeriel Green added a pair of basehits, Bricker laced a double and Peach aided her own cause with a home run and two RBIs.

Megan Kandel led the Lady Hawks with two singles and a pair of RBIs

Indian Valley 0

NAVARRE -- Host Fairless High got the upper hand in a pitching duel with Indian Valley High by a 1-0 final in PAC softball action on Wednesday.

Kelly Hysong of the Lady Falcons emerged with the win with 16 strikeouts and just two walks and allowed just two hits. Amanda Jones was the hard luck loser for the Lady Braves, surrendering just three hits with four Ks and one walk.

Kelsey Kochman and Jamie Beamer each singled for the Lady Braves' hit total.

Mikayla Fowler and Jessica Kennedy triple for the Lady Falcons, while Robyn Miller added a two-base hit.

Newcomerstown 15,

Conotton Valley 0

BOWERSTON -- It was "take no prisoners" in Wednesday Inter Valley Conference action as visiting Newcomerstown High blasted Conotton Valley 15-0 in 'mercy rule' fashion.

The Lady Trojans (18-2, 6-2 IVC) began the contest with an eight-run first inning and coasted from there.

Pacing the Newcomerstown offense was Aeriel Green, who blasted her fourth homer of the season and had three RBIs. Also contributing multi-hit games for the winners were Karlee Peach, Allie Hinton, Sami Fuller and Katelin Stringer.

All the run support made a pitching winner of Makenzie Moner.

Indian Valley 7,

Fairless 1

GNADENHUTTEN -- Indian Valley High avenged a 1-0 loss from 24 hours earlier by defeating Fairless, 7-1, in PAC action on Thursday.

Amanda Jones earned the pitching win for the Lad Braves (10-6), striking out two and walking one.

Jones also led the IV hitters with a home run, single and four RBI. Brea Rennard ripped a triple while Jamie Hykes and Steph Risher both had two singles.

Bing topped Fairless with two singles.

Tuscarawas CC 7,

Newcomerstown 6

NEWCOMERSTOWN -- Rachel Keitz delivered a two-run triple in the top of the seventh inning to lift Tuscarawas Central Catholic to a 7-6 upset of state-ranked Newcomerstown in Inter-Valley Conference play on Thursday.

The loss dropped the Lady Trojans to 18-3 overall and 6-3 in the IVC, meaning they've slipped to fourth place in the league behind Strasburg, TCC (14-5, 7-2 IVC) and Sandy Valley. Strasburg knocked off Sandy Valley in another Thursday IVC contest.

Drew Abbas earned the pitching win for TCC with two strikeouts and two walks. Jayde Bricker (8-3) took the loss for NHS with two Ks and three walks.

In addition to Keitz, other hit leaders for TCC were Anna Thompson and Sydney Anderson with two singles apiece and Sami Beamer with a double.

For the Lady Trojans, Aeriel Green lined three singles and drove in two runs while Bricker, Lexi Montgomery and Allie Hinton all had two singles.

Ridgewood 11, Zanesville 10

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Host Ridgewood High picked up a dramatic 11-10 victory over Zanesville in an eight inning non-league match-up.

Trailing 10-9 entering the bottom of the eighth frame, Kalynn Bluck led off with a single and then came around to tie the contest when the ZHS outfielders collided trying to run down Jasmine Pelfrey's fly ball. When the dust cleared, Pelfrey made it to third base and came home with the winning run on an clutch RBI single from Taylor Zinkon.

Erica Michael (5-8) picked up the win for the Lady Generals, picking up six Ks and one walk.

Ridgewood (6-14) was led offensively by Erica Oliner with a double and two singles, while Brianna Grace added a triple, single and an RBI for the Lady Generals.

Tuscarawas CC 14,

Newcomerstown 4

NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Tuscarawas Central Catholic made it a two-day sweep of the Newcomerstown Lady Trojans on Friday, using a strong offense to pull out a 14-4 victory in Inter-Valley Conference softball action.

The Lady Saints (13-5, 8-2 IVC) banged out a total of 18 hits compared to just eight for NHS.

Leading the TCC offense was Sami Beamer with a single, double and triple, while Lauren Fredricks finished with a pair of doubles, a single and four RBI. Rachel Keitz chipped in with a double, two singles and three RBI while Jenna Tolloti doubled and singled for the winners.

Senior Allie Hinton led the Lady Trojans with a triple, single and RBI, with Jayde Bricker adding a pair of base hits. Lexi Montgomery ripped a double with two RBI and Kara Jenkins singled twice with two RBI.

Freshman Karlee Peach absorbed the pitching loss for Newcomerstown (18-4, 7-4 IVC) with one strikeout and one walk. Drew Abbas picked up the win from the pitcher's circle, striking out two and walking two.
