COSHOCTON -- The Indian Valley High boys' golf team posted a sweep over River View and Zanesville Rosecrans at the par 36 Hilltop Course.
The Braves' total of 162 was four strokes better than River View (166) and 22 clear of Rosecrans (184).
Indian Valley's Shawn Mills earned medalist honors with a one-under 35. Other IV scores includedMitchell Lehigh (38), Jarrett Helter (43), Brett Rentsch (46).
Ross Anglin's 38 paced the Black Bear effort. Other River View scores were Kyle Daugherty (42), Matt Brillhart (43), Jake Moore (45).
The low Rosecrans round was turned in by Elliott Start, who shot a 42. The remainder of the Bishops were Leah Baughman (46), Jayme Klotzbach (46), Lane Dailey (50).
By taking out Tuesday's victims, the Braves moved to 3-0 in matches on the young season.
WEST LAFAYETTE -- Newcomerstown High's golfers proved no match for visiting Garaway in Inter-Valley Conference play at Hickory Flats.
The visiting Pirates posted a team score of 157, easily besting the Trojans' total of 222.
Garaway's Cooper Stutzman fired a three-over par 39 to cop medalist honors.
The remainder of the Pirates' scores included Broc Beachy (41), Jon Mason (39), Caleb Beachy (39), Kohl Mast (40), Ben Kosmider (40). Garaway (1-0 duals, 1-0 IVC) players carded nine birdies over the final five holes.
The Trojans (1-1 duals, 0-1 IVC) were paced by Zach Gibson's 49. The remainder of the Newcomerstown scores included Jared Brooks (56), Lincoln Shaw (58), Bailey Guy (59), Brandan Tanksley (63), Codi Rothacher (71).
WEST LAFAYETTE -- The Ridgewood Generals picked up a win over backyard-rival Newcomberstown on Thursday at River Greens Golf Course in Inter-Valley Conference golf action.
The Generals finished with a 175 compared to the Trojans score of 205 for the IVC win.
Nick Blakley of Ridgewood (1-0) earned medalist honors with a 38, followed by Wesley Cochran with a 45, while Brice Dennis and Sam Bucher each finished with 46.
Leading the Trojans (1-2) was Jared Brooks with a 42; Zach Gibson, 47; Lincoln Shaw, 55; and Bailey Guy rounded out the scoring with a 61.
NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The New Philadelphia high girls' golf team posted a win over the visiting Indian Valley at the Green Valley Golf Club on Wednesday.
The Lady Quakers' team score of 192 was a total of 30 stokes better than the visiting Braves' who provided a team score of 222.
Leading the way for the Lady Quakers was Julie McClain with a 43 followed by Rachel Leggett, 45; Myranda Parks and Hayley Jo Thacker with 52s.
Despite the loss Indian Valley's Kelli Carroll was named the medalist of the match with a 41, she was followed by Amber Ruscin, 57; Amanda Jones, 59 and Andrea Hamilton with a 65.
SUGARCREEK -- Host Garaway High picked up a 196-263 victory over Ridgewood High in Inter-Valley Conference girls golf action on Thursday at Willandale Golf Course.
Leading the Lady Pirates was medalist Ashleigh Rothacher with a 41, followed by Katie Troyer (44), Courtney Werker (50) and Lexi Lingler (61).
RHS (0-3, 0-2 IVC) was paced by Samantha Wilson with a 55 while Amanda Matchett shot 63, Kaitlyn Finton 67, and Tyra Reed 89 .
NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Indian Valley girls' golf team was victorious over Sandy Valley on Thursday at the Green Valley Golf Course.
The Braves, team total of 200 was 20 strokes better than that of the Cardinals whos team score was 220.
Leading the way for the Braves' was the medalist of the match Kelli Carroll who shot a 41, followed by Amber Ruscin with a 50; Amanda Jones, 54 and Kara Barger with a 55.
Sandy Valley was paced by Ellie Crowe with a 52, Sierra Sarver, 55; Sadie Bowling, 56; and Maddy Russell rounded out the scoring with a 57.
