SUGARCREEK -- Ridgewood High built an early lead, but saw the host Garaway High Pirates rally to post a 21-12 victory in Inter-Valley Conference action on Friday night.
Taking advantage of a pair of Pirate fumbles, the Generals built a 12-0 lead with Zach Donley scoring on a 15-yard touchdown run and Garrett Bethel followed with a short two-yard TD run for the early lead.
Garaway responded with a 33-yard toucdown strike from RJ Jacobs to Connor Troyer to pull within 12-7.
Jacobs would add a one-yard dive for the touchdown and Jacobs and Troyer hooked up again from 36 yards out for the game-winner.
With the loss, Ridgewood slips to 2-2 overall, and 0-1 in the IVC while Garaway improves to 2-2 and 1-0 in IVC play.
