ST. CLAIRSVILLE -- Indian Valley bowed out of the Division II sectional tournament at Ohio University-Eastern.
After an opening round victory over Meadowbrook, the Braves suffered a 55-52 setback to Maysville High to exit from the tournament trail.
With the loss, the Braves finish at 9-14 on the season.
With Maysville holding a slim 48-46 lead with just under 1:15 in the contest, Maysville junior Nate Vallee drilled a huge three-pointer to give the Panthers a 51-46 lead and propel them to the win.
Ian Lake closed things out for Maysville at the charity stripe, going 3-for-4 from the foul line in the final 12 seconds.
Chase Roberts led Maysville (11-12) with 15 points and Lake and Tanner Stottsberry each finished with 14 points for the Panthers.
Indian Valley was paced by Shawn Mills with 24 points, while Brady Byers chipped in with 14 markers.
