NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Indian Valley High enjoyed a solid performance at the Dicks Sporting Goods-Ferris Financial Tuscarawas County Classic on Monday.

The meet -- without team scoring -- is designed to showcase the talents of county high school track and field standouts.

On the girls side, Indian Valley's Celina Mayforth captured the 400 (59.90), while the Lady Braves ruled the 400, 800 and 1,600 relays.

Shaylee Shepherd, Kiara Rakestraw, Bayli Connor and Kitanna Rakestraw won the 400 (52.63) and Shepherd along with the Rakestraws and Mayforth captured the 800 (1:47.65), while Alex Pirano, Mikayla Baker, Brittney Roth and Mayforth won the 1600-meter (4:13.68).

On the boys side, Indian Valley's Brandton Leggett claimed the 110 hurdles (15.47) and teammate Zack Love won the 300 hurdles (41.72).

Indian Valley's Nick Haga won the high jump (6-4) with the Braves's Leggett, Garett Mozena, Hunter Probert and Trevor Ault won the 1,600 (3:27.69). IV's team of Probert, Matt Love, Mozena and Ault captured the 3200-meter relay (8:28.93).

Dylan Garretson turned in a first place finish to lead Newcomerstown High during Monday's action.

Garretson captured the top spot in the pole vault with a winning effort of 14-00 for the Trojans, while turning in the top effort for the Lady Trojans was Jade Johnson who finished third place in the discus with a toss of 99-07.
