Thoughts From the Coach: "This marks the 30th anniversary of soccer at Muskingum with its beginning in 1987. We have 12 letterwinners back including our whole back four (McKell, Siwicki, Wiley, Prokopchak), our midfielders (Waite and Wagner) and our forwards (Stuard, Bishop, O'Dell, Fischer) so we will be a very experienced team with a very good core group. We will probably have four or five seniors on the field at all times, so expectations are higher. Our biggest decision will be at goal keeper where we lost Liz Mitchell. There are three vying for that spot including Love, Maxwell and Bodenmiller and they all bring something different to the game right now.

"I feel we will be more competitive this year with the exception of goal keeper where we have three inexperienced players. There is a since of calmness on the rest of the field due to our experience. This group has a winning attitude and our captains are very solid players.

"We need to beat the teams we should beat and that probably means we need to beat John Carroll University and Baldwin Wallace University if we want to be one of the top six and get into the Ohio Athletic Conference postseason tournament. We have a new turf venue which is a full regulation soccer field and the lights are coming in October. We have three facilities which make it good for practice times. We will be the first team to play on the new venue and I am excited and ready to go."
