Funeral services for Laura F. Shalosky, 68, of Newcomerstown, were March 7, 2009, at the Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown. Pastor Rob Bladen officiated the services with burial in the Bethel Cemetery (Guernsey County), Newcomerstown. She passed away March 4 at the Coshocton Health and Rehabilitation Center in Coshocton.

She was born Feb. 27, 1941, in Bellville, the daughter of the late James Matthew Brandon and Francis (Pittman) Brandon.

She was a graduate of Newcomerstown High School.

Mrs. Shalosky was a housewife and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose No. 1337 of Newcomerstown and Eagles Lodge.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Harry, Floyd, Arthur, Stanley and Frank Brandon; and three sisters, Thelma Phillips, Gladys Phillips and Donna Lee Brandon.

Survivors include five sons, David (Lynda) Shalosky, Vaughn (Stephanie) Shalosky, Travis Shalosky and Gregg Shalosky, all of Newcomerstown, and Randall (Thelma) Shalosky of Coshocton; two daughters, Therese (Todd) Hampton and Lorinda (Dan) Kinsey, all of Newcomerstown; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, James (Mamie) Brandon of Newcomerstown; and one sister, Edna Colvin of Cambridge.
