Cambridge/Guernsey County VCB unveils new Web site

CAMBRIDGE -- Guernsey County received an online make-over when the Cambridge/Guernsey County Visitors and Convention Bureau unveiled its new Web site recently.

The VCB worked with the Columbus based Web firm Three-Six-One Studios to create the new Web site (

"Our new site is energetic and engaging. It offers information in an informative and appealing manner, making it user friendly for all of our market segments: consumers, group tour operators, meeting planners, travel writers and our own Guernsey County Tourism Industry members," VCB Director Debbie Robinson said.

Robinson indicated the previous website had been in place for more than five years and was in need of an update.

"We really needed to bring the image of Guernsey County into the 21st century," Robinson said. "We wanted to also capture the feeling of our family-friendly community and remind people to take advantage of the time they have to spend together. The new website is far more organized, faster and easier to navigate. In addition to our extensive events calendar, the homepage now also pulls out four events each quarter to highlight. A searchable database is also available site-wide."

"I think the new Web site is going to be much more user friendly and more pleasing to the eye. The Web site is very interactive, which makes it easier for us to offer many new features to our visitors and industry," VCB Information Manger Shauna Hearing said.

"Instead of just telling people all of the wonderful things Guernsey County has to offer, the new Web site will show them with beautiful photographs of our area attractions and events. The new Web site is also more user friendly for both visitors and area business owners," VCB Office Manager Dawn Beasley said.

Robinson also noted that the use of Internet, viral and social marketing will continue to increase.

"The new Web site positions Cambridge/Guernsey County in a positive and attractive light," she said.
