Funeral services for Robert W. Hunt, 89, of Newcomerstown, formerly of Port Washington, were March 22, 2010, at the Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown. The Rev. Paul Schwab officiated the services with burial in the Union Cemetery, Port Washington. Military services were conducted by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard. He passed away March 17 at the Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Newcomerstown.

He was born March 23, 1920, in Lock Seventeen, Tuscarawas County, the son of the late Joseph A. and Sally R. (Reisher) Hunt.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

Mr. Hunt retired from Belden Brick Co., Port Washington plant; formerly employed for Penn. Railroad and Ross Clay of Lock Seventeen.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Washington and the American Legion Post No. 65 of Coshocton.

On Feb. 21, 1946, he married Josephine (Sabol) Hunt, who passed away Jan. 27, 2003.

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include one son, Joseph M. Hunt Sr. of Coshocton; one daughter, Patricia Joann Stickler of Coshocton; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
