Funeral services for Christopher Lee Phillabaum, 26, of West Lafayette, were March 20, 2010, at the Full Gospel Temple Church. Pastor Mark McCoun officiated the services with burial in the Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield. The Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown was entrusted with arrangements. He passed away March 16 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 21, 1984, in Coshocton, the son of F. William Phillabaum and companion Marilyn Winegarth of Newcomerstown, and Rebecca L. (McCoun) Caley and her husband, Jack, of Newcomerstown.

He was a Ridgewood High School graduate.

Mr. Phillabaum worked for RMI security at AK Steel Division.

He attended the Full Gospel Temple Church.

Survivors include two sons, Christopher Lee Michael Phillabaum and Remington Orvil Phillabaum, both of West Lafayette; maternal grandparents, Donald L. and Nancy McCoun of West Lafayette, and Barbara Caley of Gainsville, Fla.; paternal grandparents, Louise Phillabaum of West Lafayette and Chester Phillabaum of West Lafayette; four step-brothers, David Caley of Quaker City, Jack Caley of Coshocton, Jay Caley of Conesville and Steve Winegarth of Newcomerstown; two step-sisters, Becky Courtwright of Conesville and Lisa Conkle of Fresno; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Orvil D. Phillabaum.
