WEST LAFAYETTE With Tanner Stoffer leading the way, the Generals laid it on the Saints for a 57-48 IVC win on Friday.

Stoffer rolled into halftime with nine points but piled on 20 in the second half to finish with a game-high 29, including an 8-for-9 showing at the foul line.

Ridgewood (7-2, 3-2 IVC) sprinted out to a 17-6 first quarter lead and kept it to 27-15 after two periods. The winners saw their lead close slightly to 41-30 after three quarters but were still firmly in command.

Dillon McPherson fired in 12 points for the Generals while Christian Grove scored eight.

Jimmy Tolloti paced Central Catholic (6-5, 3-3 IVC) with 12 points.

The Saints won the junior varsity game. The Generals were led D.J. Varians six points and Josh Kings five tallies.

The state-ranked Hawks rolled to a 70-43 win over the Trojans in an Inter-Valley Conference game on Friday.

Hiland blew out to a 25-5 first quarter lead and slowed down a little in the second period to cruise into halftime with a 38-11 cushion. Both teams scored 32 in the second half with the Trojans taking the final frame 19-10.

Austin King rode the strength of four, three-pointers to come through with a game-high 16 points. Paul Mathews and Cody Sproat tossed in six points apiece.

Dylan Kaufman led the Hawks (10-0, 6-0 IVC) with 14 points while Neil Gingerich landed 11 and Chaise Gerber tacked on 10.

Newcomerstown fell in the junior varsity game 47-38. Brill Dansby had 16 to lead the Orange and Black while Chance Bower scored nine. The Trojan reserves are now 3-6 (2-4 IVC).

CANTON The Trojans blasted the Braves on Friday night with a convincing 93-68 PAC-7 win as six players scored in double figures for the winners.

Timken took a 27-14 first quarter lead and bumped it to 51-31 by halftime. A 21-17 advantage in the third period for the winners made it 72-48. The last quarter was in favor of the Trojans 21-20.

Jamie MacAdam was lead scorer for Indian Valley (0-9, 0-5 PAC) with 17 points, including four, three-pointers. Ian Kandray came through with 14 points that include three treys of his own. Chase Gibson scored 11 while Brett Cox tacked on another nine points.

Leading the way for the Trojans (6-1, 5-0 PAC) was Larry Hunter with 19 points, followed by Damir House - 15, Malik Ruffin - 13, Shaun Curtis and Chris Brunner - 12 each, and Ismial Oree - 10. The game marked the 59th straight conference victory for Timken.

The Braves fell in the reserve game, 65-33.

WEST LAFAYETTE The Hornets knocked off the Generals 68-58 in a Tuesday night Inter-Valley Conference match-up.

C.J. Grove poured in 27 points for Ridgewood but it wasnt enough as the Generals fell to 2-2 in league play and 6-3 overall.

Malvern (7-2, 5-1 IVC) eased out to a 17-14 first quarter lead and extended it to 34-26 by halftime. The Generals (6-3, 2-2 IVC) closed the gap by four points in the third quarter as they captured the frame 14-10. A 24-18 run in the fourth quarter, including a 13-2 burst early in the period after the Generals had narrowed the game to 46-44, closed out scoring.

In addition to Groves scoring and team-leading seven rebounds, Tanner Stoffer came up with 13 points while Dillon McPherson tacked on seven.

Shawn Ball paced Malvern with 19 points while Max Kapron scored 18 and Travis Tucci added 14. Kapron also had 13 rebounds.

The Hornets won the reserve game 40-33. Seth Bergeron led the Generals with 11 points.

NEW PHILADELPHIA The Trojans fell to the Saints 54-40 on Tuesday in an Inter-Valley Conference tussle.

Central Catholic used an 11-4 first quarter to establish control and then kept Newcomerstown at arms length the rest of the way. The Saints led 24-14 at halftime and 35-24 at the end of three quarters. A 19-16 fourth period in Central Catholics favor closed out scoring.

Caleb Fenton scored 12 points to lead the Trojans (2-6, 0-5 IVC) while Joey Raach was right behind with 11. Cody Sproat tacked on another seven points.

Jimmy Tolloti led the Saints (6-4, 3-2 IVC) with 16 points. Erich Keitz and Travis Craven scored 10 apiece.

Central Catholic won the reserve game in overtime, 34-30. Tyler Wheeler led Newcomerstown with six points.

WEST LAFAYETTE The Generals dropped a 54-51 decision to the Rockets last Thursday in a non-conference game.

Tanner Stoffer scored 15 points to lead Ridgewood (6-2) while C.J. Grove was right behind with 14.

Brandon Bailey had 20 points for the Rockets (8-1) and Keaton Carrothers added 10.
