A strange coincidence took place April 11.
The first event was 30 years when Jerry Regula, a Newcomerstown High School graduate, hit a homerun when he played on the Newcomerstown High School baseball team.
Ironically, his daughter, Katelyn Regula, a softball player on the Indian Valley High School team, hit a homerun on April 11 during the Indian Valley vs. Tusky Valley game. The Braves were victorious, 5-0.
Jerry Regula said it was just a strange coincidence that both he and his daughter hit homeruns on April 11 -- granted they were 30 years apart though.
