Fiscal emergency meeting set
There will be a fiscal emergency meeting with Newcomerstown village officials and state representatives on Monday, March 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the David Barber Civic Center, Newcomerstown.
Quilting to resume
Quilting on the Newcomerstown Bicentennial quilt is every Friday from 9 to 11 a.m.
The location has been changed from the Temperance Tavern Museum to the Newcomerstown Library Annex upstairs.
Easter egg hunt set
The Newcomerstown Elks Lodge and the Newcomerstown Church of the Nazarene will have its annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. at Cy Young Park, Newcomerstown.
Spaghetti dinner set
The Newcomerstown Masonic Center will have a spaghetti dinner on Friday, March 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. The center is located at 235 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown.
The menu includes spaghetti with homemade sauce, hot garlic bread, salad, dessert, and beverage. The cost for the meal is $6.50 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and free for pre-school age children. The dinner is carry-out or delivery is available.
Youth league auction
The Cy Young Youth League will have its annual auction on Saturday, March 16 at 11 a.m. in the Laborers Local Hall, corner of Main and River streets, Newcomerstown.
Some of the auction items include: A three-minute shopping spree at Baker's IGA, gift certificates to various locations, round of golf with cart, 20-inch push mower from KL Welch and Sons, movie rentals, basket of flowers, free hair cuts, bird house, 10-pounds of hamburger or sausage from Tiltons' Custom Meats, a night's stay at the Newcomerstown Hampton Inn, etc. This is one of the group's major fundraisers.
The youth league serves approximately 300 boys and girls ages 5 to 16.
All are welcome at the auction.
Ridgewood having musical
WEST LAFAYETTE -- Tickets are now on sale for Ridgewood's musical, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."
The show is March 21, 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Ridgewood High School's Auditorium.

Blood drive set
A blood drive is set for Wednesday, March 20 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 121 S. College St., Newcomerstown.

Soup supper set
ORANGE -- The Blue Ridge Grange will have a soup supper on Saturday, March 16. Serving starts at 4:30 p.m.
The menu includes seven kinds of soup, salads, desserts, and beverages.
The cost is $7.
Feinstein Challenge to start
Journey's End Ministries in Newcomerstown is once again having its annual Feinstein Challenge fundraiser, March 1 through April 30. A portion of all monies raised during this time will be matched by the Feinstein organization.
Non-perishable goods are always accepted at Journey's End.

COSHOCTON -- Applications are now being accepted for gift and craft vendors interested in participating in the 2013 Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival. This year's festival, sponsored by Frontier Power, will be June 7-9 at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds.
Craft and gift vendor spaces are available for $50 (10-foot by 10-foot) and $80 (20-foot by10-foot).

Roast beef dinner set
PORT WASHINGTON -- A roast beef dinner is set for Saturday, March 9 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, corner of High and Arch streets, Port Washington, from 4 to 7 p.m.
The meal includes tender slow-roasted beef, baked potato, vegetable, tossed salad, dessert and roll, and beverage.
The meal costs $10 for adults and children (12 and under) will be charged $5 each.
Proceeds from the dinner will go to the Bell Tower Replacement and Steeple Addition project.
Those interested in being a lifeguard at the Cy Young Pool in Newcomerstown are reminded to check with local agencies regarding certification requirements.

GNADENHUTTEN -- The Gnadenhutten Lions Club will have a soup and baked potato luncheon on Sunday, March 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Masonic Temple.
The meal costs $5 and desserts are $1 each.
There will also be a silent auction and a 50-50 raffle.

Tickets are available for the Cy Young Youth League's chicken dinner set for Saturday, April 27 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Youth League Fields, rear of Neighbor Street, Newcomerstown. The meal will be held rain or shine.
The meal includes half a chicken with potato salad, baked beans, roll, and beverage.
Tickets are $7 each.

Exhibitors sought for show
COSHOCTON -- Exhibitors are now being accepted for the 2013 Coshocton Home & Lifestyle Show to take place March 9 and March 10. The show benefits Habitat for Humanity of Coshocton County and is in its fourth year.
The successful show annually draws approximately 45 exhibitors and 1,000 visitors. Focusing on all things relating to the home, its contents, and its care, the show will take place at the Coshocton County Career Center. Parking is free and there is no admission charge for attending.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off
Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
