The Newcomerstown Public Library will be showing a free movie on Saturday, May 11 at 7 p.m. in the library annex located at 123 N. Bridge St. The featured film will be a recently-released thriller based on the adaptation of author Lee Child's novel, "One Shot," and starring Tom Cruise. The rating is PG-13. Pancake/sausage breakfast set

FRESNO -- Renner's St. Paul United Church of Christ, 7620 Renner Road SW, Fresno, will have a pancake/sausage breakfast on Saturday, May 4 from 8 to 11 a.m. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, fruit, and beverage of your choice.

Donations to youth camp retreat will be taken.

Spaghetti supper set

WEST LAFAYETTE -- The First Baptist Church, located at 688 E. Main St., West Lafayette, will have a spaghetti supper on Friday, May 3 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Father-Daughter Dance set

A Father-Daughter Dance is set for Friday, May 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the David Barber Civic Center, Newcomerstown.

This is the fourth annual event in hopes of raising enough money to someday find a cure for cancer. Father-Daughter Dance tickets are $12, with each additional daughter being $4 each.

The event includes a night of Mardi Gras fun complete with a disc jockey, masks, beads, dancing, obstacle course, cake walks, pictures, crowing and more.

Coin club to meet

NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Tuscarawas County Coin Club will meet Monday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the VFW Club, New Philadelphia.

The meeting is open to the public.

Quilting to resume

Quilting on the Newcomerstown Bicentennial quilt is every Friday from 9 to 11 a.m.

The location has been changed from the Temperance Tavern Museum to the Newcomerstown Library Annex upstairs.

Vendors sought

COSHOCTON -- Applications are now being accepted for gift and craft vendors interested in participating in the 2013 Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival. This year's festival, sponsored by Frontier Power, will be June 7-9 at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds.

Craft and gift vendor spaces are available for $50 (10-foot by 10-foot) and $80 (20-foot by10-foot).

Christ's Kitchen

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off

Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
