BOLIVAR - The Indian Valley High girls' golf team dropped its opening match against Sandy Valley, 211-207, at Wilkshire Golf Course.

Leading Indian Valley was Kelli Carroll, who was the medalist of the match with a 43. Also scoring for the Lady Braves was Amber Ruscin with a 50, Amanda Jones with a 57 and Andrea Hamilton with a 61.

Sandy Valley was led by Sadie Bowling and Maddy Russell who each scored 45. Other scores for the Lady Cardinals were Sierra Server with a 58, and Brooke Miller and Ellie Crowe each with 59.

MASSILLON - The Indian Valley High boys placed second in the PAC 7 Preseason Golf Tournament at Massillon Legends.

Tusky Valley took the title with a final score of 316, with the Braves' 326 earned them the runner-up slot.

The rest of the teams scoring included: CVCA, 332; Manchester, 357; Triway, 369; Fairless, 385; and Tuslaw, 410.

Leading the way for Indian Valley was match medalist Mitchell Lehigh with a 73, followed by Jadan Hartzler, 81; Shawn Mills, 83; and Jarrett Heltler, 89.

SUGARCREEK -- Indian Valley High finished fourth in the 21-team Garaway Pirate Invitational at Willandale Golf Club.

Gahanna Columbus Academy emerged as the team champion with a 303-stroke total. The Garaway Red team took second at 317 while Tuscarawas Valley (327); Indian Valley (328) and Wooster (329) rounded out the top five.

Ridgewood was 13th with 357 while Newcomerstown placed 20th with a 422 score.

Columbus Academy's Carter Kistler carded a 70 for overall medalist honors.

Low man for Indian Valley was Mitchell Lehigh with a solid 73. The rest of the Braves' scoring included Shawn Mills (83), Jadan Hartzler (83) and Brett Rentsch (89).

The Ridgewood total included an 82 from Nick Blakely followed by Brice Dennis (88), Nathan Hoffman (93) and Sam Bucher (94).

For Newcomerstown, Jared Brooks shot a 92 followed by Zach Gibson (96), Lincoln Shaw (113) and Brandan Tanksley (121). PARIS - In girls' golf action at the Pleasant View Golf Course, Dover 337 picked up a preseason tournament win followed by Canton Central Catholic 352, Louisville 353, Minerva 382, Beaver Local 390.

Indian Valley placed 11th overall with a 453 and Ridgewood placed 16th with a 540.

Leading the way for Indian Valley was Kelli Carroll, who placed sixth overall with an 84 followed by Amber Ruscin, 103; Kara Barger 125; and Andrea Hamilton with a 141.

WEST LAFAYETTE --The Newcomerstown Trojans rolled past visiting Conotton Valley in dual meet golf action at Hickory Flats Golf Course.

The Trojans posted a team score of 386 with the Rockets finishing at 417.

Leading the way for the Trojans was Zach Gibson with an 85 followed by Jared Brooks, with a 91; Lincoln Shaw, 101; and Brandan Tanksley with a 109.

The Rockets were led by match medalist was Brandon Busby with a 76, followed by Trey Yosick with a 89 while Wyatt and Hunter Fluharty shot a 106 and a 146 respectively.

UHRICHSVILLE --Homestanding Claymont High defeated Ridgewood, 192-246, in girls' prep golf action at Big Beng Golf Course.

Sami Dorland and Marija Cottis paced Claymont with 45-stroke totals while Carley Henry carded a 50 and Kerrigan Burdette added a 52.

For Ridgewood, Samantha Wilson tied the Claymont duo for medalist honors with a 45; Amanda Matchett carded a 55; Kaitlyn Finton scored 57 and Tyra Reed had 89.

MASSILLON --Indian Valley High emerged victorious in the Pac-7 Tournament at The Legends Course with an eight-stroke victory over Tuscarawas Valley.

The Braves finished with a 322-stroke total to 330 for Tusky Valley. The rest of the scored included CVCA (332), Fairless (351), Manchester (357), Triway (365), Tuslaw (385) and Timken (509).

Mitchell Lehigh paced Indian Valley with a 73 to take runner-up medalist honors. Other Brave scores included Shawn Mills (78), Jarrett Helter (85) and Jadan Hartzler (86).

CVCA's Britton was the medalist with a 72.

ZANESVILLE - Homestanding Indian Valley (161) was able to out distance Strasburg (183) in a dual golf match by a collective 22 strokes.

Indian Valley (40-4) was led by match medalist Mitchell Lehigh with a 36 while Jadan Hartzler followed closely with a 38. Other scores for the Braves included Shawn Mills, 41, and Jarrett Helter with a 46.

The Tigers were led by Matt Niedenthal, 40 followed by Mitch Spinell, 45; Clarence Seward, 50; and Jarrett McCracken, 55.


ZANESVILLE - The Indian Valley girls' were defeated by Strasburg, 184-194, at Green Valley Golf Course.

The Tigers were led by the medalist of the match Alyssa Wolfe with a 46 followed by Sayerheimer, 46; Crites, 48; and Kleski with a 49.

Indian Valley high was led by Kelli Carroll with a 42, followed by Amber Ruscin, 46; Amanda Jones, 49; and Kara Barger with a 57.


WEST LAFAYETTE - Ridgewood High dropped a dual golf match against Sandy Valley, 250-263, at the River Greens Golf Course.

The Generals (0-2) were led by the medalist of the match, Samantha Wilson, with a 50 followed by Kaitlyn Finton, 60, Amanda Matchett, 64; and Tyra Reed with an 89.

The Cardinals were paced by Maddy Russell who shot a 58, followed by Ellie Crown, 63; Macie Faigley, 64; and Megan Wackerly, 65.
