Karen Mizer, 67, of Newcomerstown, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at her residence with her family at her side.
She was born Thursday, Nov. 1, 1945, in Glasgow, to the late Edmund and Ruth (Maloy) Mullet.
On Aug. 4, 1963, she married her husband, Dale, who survives.
Karen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Newcomerstown, as well as a member of the Moose Lodge.
She was the owner of several area businesses which included: Systems III, The Wagon Wheel Restaurant, Karen's 50's Cafe, the D&K Store, The Hilltop Store and Karen's New Figure Health Salon.
She also taught Sunday School at the First Baptist Church in Newcomerstown and Port Washington.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Kathy Wright and her husband Duane of Newcomerstown, Teresa Lyons and her husband Ed of Newcomerstown, and Daniel Mizer and his wife Annie of Perry, Ga.; her grandchildren; Dustin Watson and his wife Magen, Kandace Lehman and her husband Joshua, Matthew Watson, Trinity Canfield and her husband Daniel, Ed Lyons III, Katie Lyons, Dale Lyons, Chelsea Mizer and Matthew Burger; her great-grandchildren; Kalista Watson, Zaiden Watson, Presley Lehman, Karley Lehman, Noah Canfield, and Olivia Canfield; her brother, Glen Mullet and his wife Audrey; and her sisters, Faye Walker and Sheri Berger.
Services for Karen were Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, in the Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown, with the Rev. Ken Hacker officiating.
Burial was in the West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown.
