Violet Pauline (Polly) Saggio, 87, of Newcomerstown, went home to be with the Lord and husband Anthony (Tony) Saggio on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Friday, March 18, 1927, in Newcomerstown, to the late Herbert J. and Violet M. (Edwards) Willer.

She was a 1947 Newcomerstown High School graduate, avid in sports and drama. Her working career included Boyd's Dairy, assistant manager of Dime store, and Heller Brothers Co., all of Newcomerstown; Newberry's of Coshocton, Town and Sanders of Warsaw; and private sales. She organized the first area Tops Club and she also organized a Canasta Club of several Newcomerstown area women. Polly was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and formerly a member of West Lafayette United Methodist Church.

She and Tony were accomplished roller skaters, they met at Tuscora park rink. They were married on Saturday, Aug. 18, 1951.

She is survived by her only sister, Shirley E. Kirkpatrick of West Lafayette and special niece, Tammy Jo Kirkpatrick of West Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by an infant niece, Bobby Jo Kirkpatrick.

Graveside services were Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at the Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette, with the Rev. Eric Miller officiating.
