Grewell fundraiser set

Jennifer Smith is hosting an Origami Owl jewelry bar in memory of Rusty Grewell.

Proceeds of the jewelry bar will be donated to: St. Paul Lutheran Church, 121 S. College St., Newcomerstown, OH 43832, c/o Gail Crites, to be part of the seed money to spearhead a perpetual scholarship in Rusty's name (in the Newcomerstown Marching Band program).

Ladies Night Out set

The Relay For Life of Newcomerstown will be having a Ladies Night Out Shopping Extravaganza on Dec. 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown.

Admission to the event will be $2 per person with all admission proceeds going to Relay For Life. There will be approximately 20 vendors.

They will have a 50/50 drawing, door prizes and giveaways. There will food available for purchase.

Contractor's workshop set

DENNISON -- Tuscarawas, Carroll and Harrison Soil and Water Conservation Districts will have a contractor's workshop on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 a.m. This event will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 301 Grant St., Dennison.

Registration and complimentary breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. Programs include flood plain, clean water act, pipeline, and underground utility safety and OUPS. RSVP by Dec. 1 by calling the Tuscarawas Soil and Water Conservation District office at 330-339-7976.

Holiday bazaar set

The West School PTO will be hosting a Holiday Bazaar on Dec. 6.

Library board meeting

The regular meeting of the Newcomerstown Public Library Board will be Monday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. in the Library Annex.

Single moms group

Are you a single mom who needs a break, some answers, hope, wisdom, help? Join the Single Mom's group meetings on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. at RaChard's Coffee Cove, 209 W. Main St., next to the Feed Barn.

Based on the book,"Hope and Help for the Single Mom," The 21 Principles of a Healthy Single Mom written by Lori Little.

The series is sponsored by the Victory Assembly of God and is free of charge.

The Newcomerstown Public Library now has notary services available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The services are free of charge.

TOPS meets on Tuesdays

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off

Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
