Christmas on the Square
Christmas on the Square in Gnadenhutten will be Saturday, Dec. 5. The tree lighting will be at 5:30 p.m., followed by good old fashioned fun until 8:30 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the Gnadenhutten Lions Club, The Commercial and Savings Bank, and the First National Bank of Dennison.
Bell ringing starts
Bell ringing to support the local Salvation Army, administered by Journey's End Ministries in Newcomerstown, is under way.
It helps families in the Newcomerstown, Port Washington and Stone Creek areas with utility disconnects, prescriptions, and gas for medical appointments. They will be ringing at Baker's IGA from Thursday through Sunday, between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, with all money raised staying in the community. The budget for this year is $8,000.
Ladies' Night Out set
Relay For Life's annual Ladies' Night Out is set for Tuesday, Dec. 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church, Newcomerstown.
It's a great evening of fun for a great cause. Relay For Life teams up with over 25 vendors to get your Christmas Shopping started.
There will be lots of raffles, door prizes, vendor cash-n-carry, food and lots more.
There is a $2 entry fee that gets you your raffle ticket.

Men's chili cook off set
Men's chili cook off has been set for Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. at the Light in the Valley Ministries, 101 W. Canal St., Newcomerstown.
All men of the community are welcome. Bring your best chili or just come to eat.
The speaker will be Jeremy Houston.

Christmas Bazaar set
The Tunnel Hill Community Center will host a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the center.
Lots of vendors are scheduled. However, space is still available to set-up. Call 330-308-0709 for information.
Breakfast (pancakes, sausage and eggs cooked to order) will be served from 8 to 10 a.m. and a lunch stand will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be door prizes.
A round and square dance will take place later that day from 8 to 11 p.m. at the center. Admission cost is $6 per person.
Retirement luncheon set
Kurz-Kasch retirees will meet for their monthly retirement luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 11:30 a.m. at April's Country Kitch'n in Newcomerstown.
Christmas Bazaar planned
A Christmas Bazaar will take place on Dec. 5 at the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church, 220 N. Walnut St., from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
There will be cookies, sugar cakes, candies, soup and crafts for sale.
Lunch will also be served.
Senior citizens' lunch set
Ridgewood High School will host the senior citizens' lunch on Wednesday, Dec. 16, which includes a performance of "It's a Wonderful Life" and lunch.
Ridgewood Drama will then perform "It's a Wonderful Life" on the evening of Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. for the public. Tickets will be available at the door.
Tunnel Hill Community Center, 112 E. Maple St., Stone Creek, will be open on Tuesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. for walking, exercise, playing cards, or visiting with friends.
If someone wants to make a quilt or learn hand quilting, call Pauline at 330-308-0709. She is hand-quilting in a hoop.
Single moms group
Are you a single mom who needs a break, some answers, hope, wisdom, help? Join the Single Mom's group meetings on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. at RaChard's Coffee Cove, 209 W. Main St., next to the Feed Barn.
Based on the book,"Hope and Help for the Single Mom," The 21 Principles of a Healthy Single Mom written by Lori Little.
The series is sponsored by the Victory Assembly of God and is free of charge.

The Newcomerstown Public Library now has notary services available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The services are free of charge.
TOPS meets on Tuesdays
TOPS, Taking Off Pounds Sensibly, Chapter 2227, in Newcomerstown, has meetings each Thursday at 5:45 p.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Newcomerstown.

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
