DOVER -- The Norma Johnson Center (NJC) will host "All a Flutter" butterfly enclosure July 19 through July 25 at the picnic shelter on Conservation Drive off Route 39 near Dover.
The exhibit will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The exhibit is free but donations will be accepted.
Visitors will be able to enter the enclosure and experience some of Ohio's native butterflies up close and personal. Educational programs will be offered on Tuesday from 10 to 12 and at specific times on Saturday.
Various butterfly crafts will be offered throughout the week for a small fee. Special appreciation was given to the O'Donnell Family for again sponsoring the exhibit this year.
A fun-filled friendly family event is scheduled for Saturday, July 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Texas Roadhouse is sponsoring a food tent from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the Roadhouse dancers will perform. Butterfly crafts and educational programs will be offered throughout the day. Nature movies will be shown at various times in the Red Barn.
In addition, Fit Youth Initiative is sponsoring a hike at the center to add interest to the day's events. Come to the Norma Johnson Center to enjoy nature and learn about Ohio 's butterflies.
