Davis awarded Merit Scholarship from The University of Findlay

FINDLAY -- Emily Davis of Newcomerstown was awarded a Merit Scholarship award for $14,000 from The University of Findlay for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Merit Scholarship awards are based on a student's final, cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) and ACT/SAT scores. Scholarships are awarded beginning with the freshman year and are renewable for up to four years (for a total of five years of scholarship aid). Merit scholarships for transfer students are based on the student's GPA from all previous college-level institutions.

The University of Findlay is a comprehensive university with a hands-on approach to learning located in Findlay, approximately 45 miles south of Toledo.

Wolf will receive degree at Ashland University Spring Commencement

ASHLAND -- Cameron R. Wolf of Newcomerstown will receive a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Sport Management from Ashland University at the Spring Commencement ceremony on May 10.

He is the son of Robert and Theresa Wolf of Newcomerstown. Wolf is a 2010 graduate of Newcomerstown High School. Ashland University, which has been ranked in the top 200 colleges and universities in U.S. News and World Report's National Universities category, is a mid-sized, private university conveniently located a short distance from Akron, Cleveland and Columbus.

Rock graduates from Ohio Christian Univ.

CIRCLEVILLE -- Jay Rock of Newcomerstown graduated from Ohio Christian University with a(an) Associate of Arts in Christian Ministry.
