The Newcomerstown Rotary Club will be having its annual fall blood screening on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 7 to 9:30 a.m. at the West Elementary School, 517 Beaver St., Newcomerstown.
Southeastern Med of Cambridge will be conducting the screenings. This fall you will need to pre-register for the screenings (like in the spring) by calling 740-432-2900. Because of computer usage and other issues, none of the hospitals will allow Rotary to continue on as they did previously, and the tests need to be ordered before the day of testing. If you cannot attend after you register, there is no penalty. Also, the screenings will be done first-come, first-serve as in the past.
There is a 12-hour fasting required.
Tests offered include: CBC, CMP and LIPID panel, $50; Hemoglobin A1C (diabetic), $20; TSH (thyroid), $20; PSA (prostate), $25; and vitamin D, $25.
Test results will be mailed to you and then you contact your physician with results.
Snacks and beverages will be available.
EMS will be available to take blood pressures.
Call 740-498-8562 or 740-498-4545 for assistance.
