NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The April Money Matters program entitled, "Identity Theft," will be Thursday, April 2 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Tuscarwas County Public Library System's Main Library in New Philadelphia.
Identity theft is a growing problem. An estimated 8.3 million Americans are victims of identity theft every year. Participants will learn how to protect themselves against identity theft. Discussion will also include steps to take if one suspects their identity has been compromised.
The program is open to the public and free of charge but registration is required. Contact the Tuscarawas County office of Ohio State University Extension at (330) 339-2337 by 4 p.m. on the day of the program.
The Money Matters program is a partnership between OSU Extension Tuscarawas County, the Tuscarawas County Public Library System and the Newcomerstown Library.
