Gnadenhutten charters new Lions Club
GNADENHUTTEN -- On July 20, 23 Gnadenhutten area residents made history as they joined together to become charter members of the new Gnadenhutten Lions Club, an organization dedicated to the betterment of the community.
The charter banquet, held at the Moravian Church, included the induction of the charter members, installation of club officers and comments presented by guest speaker and a past International Lions Club President Jim Coffey of Toronto.
Newly-appointed officers include, Greg Ellwood, president; Hope Johnson, vice president; Lori Davis, secretary; and Becky Hart, treasurer.
Anyone who joins the new club on or before Aug. 15 will be considered a charter member and have the privilege of signing the charter.
Regular meetings will be 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month at the Tents of Grace restaurant on Walnut Street, Gnadenhutten.
