Committee members for the Frontier Apple Festival are cordially inviting the public to join the festivities that are scheduled for Oct. 7 and Oct. 9-11 in downtown Newcomerstown.
This year's festivities include several new features, among those are the "Clunkers & Junkers" car show and the Rib Cook Off. These are both anticipated to be memorable events and the committee is very excited to offer these features for the first time ever. The public is strongly encouraged not to miss these events.
The committee regrets to report that the Favorite Son banquet that normally takes place with the festival has been postponed indefinitely. A future event to honor the Favorite Son, Jim Carr, will be announced at a later date.
The Frontier Apple Festival was earlier known as Frontier Day, and originated in 1975 according to Frontier Apple Festival Committee Chairperson Audrey Hanni.
