CAMBRIDGE -- Degenhart Paperweight & Glass Museum and Gift Shop will celebrate its 30th anniversary with an open house on Saturday from 11a .m. to 3 p.m.
There will be free admission to the museum and refreshments. The first 50 visitors will receive a gift.
The event will also feature a silent auction with 12 assorted items (three Jim Beam Decanter cars and various glass items).
Also, door prize every half hour (must be present to win) and a lottery tree of 50 $1 Ohio Lottery tickets will be raffled. Purchase tickets at the museum for $1 each or seven for $5. Drawing for the lottery tree and silent auction results will be at 3.
Degenhart Museum was established at the bequest of the late Elizabeth Degenhart who was known as the "First Lady of Glass." The museum has more than 1,000 paperweights on display, as well as Degenhart Crystal Art Glass. The museum also has displays of glass made in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana and West Virginia.
Degenhart Paperweight and Glass Museum and Gift Shop is located on Highland Hills Road at the intersection of U.S. 22 and Interstate 77, Exit 47 at Cambridge.
The museum is located behind the Starfire gas station.
