Chase Jackson of West Lafayette is obviously a talented young man. He is pictured with the quilt that he sewed and quilted as part of a project for the Rock Run 4-H in Coshocton. Jackson is the son of Chad and Jackie Jackson of Coshocton. Jacksons quilt is a Flying Geese pattern and took three days to complete with the supervision and advise from his grandmother, Ruth (Lawrence) Opphile. Jacksons grandmother is a member of the Newcomerstown Quilting Bees and said Jackson requested to attend a quilting session in order to better understand the process for creating a quilt. Jackson said he has always had an interest in art and also has a sister, Paige, that shares his talents in art. He has won three awards for his quilt, which included Outstanding of the Day Award (top 20 of all 4-H projects) at the Ohio State Fair. Jackson said he plans to possibly create a larger quilt in the future. He is a sixth grader at Lincoln Elementary in Coshocton.
