Don and Marilyn Fenton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on March 2.
Don is the son of the late Walter and Elva Fenton, and Marilyn is the daughter of the late Robert and Edith Rausch.
They were united in marriage on March 2, 1962, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Newcomerstown. The Rev. John Fabian officiated the service.
Don graduated from Newcomerstown High School, served in the military, retired from Bank One and has been a lifetime farmer.
Marilyn graduated from Sugarcreek-Shanesville High. She worked at Shaw Barton and General Electric in Coshocton for several years, later at Thompson's IGA and Riverside Nursing Home in Newcomerstown.
The couple has three sons, Kevin (Erma) Fenton and Gary (Heather) Fenton, all of Newcomerstown, and Dr. Mark (Dr. Kathy) Fenton of Wilmington. Five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren complete the family.
The couple is being honored with a card shower and calls. They will celebrate their special day with their family.
