GNADENHUTTEN -- The Indian Valley Local Board of Education approved a new one-year contract for Superintendent Bob Fogler at a meeting Feb. 20. The contract will keep Fogler's salary and benefits at the same level.
With no fringe benefits, Fogler's salary is $81,671 a year.
On Aug. 1, 2011, he took over the position as superintendent in the district (while coming out of retirement) to replace Roger Bond, who became the superintendent of the Buckeye Career Center in New Philadelphia.
Previously, Fogler worked 11 years in the district as an administrator, including six years as superintendent.
Fogler said he's glad to contribute to the district and glad that his employment is a cost-saving measure for the district.
