DENNISON -- To commemorate the facility's 100th anniversary, Trinity Hospital Twin City is inviting the public to a special 100th anniversary celebration open house to be held between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26.

As part of the celebration, the hospital will be open for tours and a free chicken barbecue lunch and desserts will be served until the food is gone.

Entertainment will be provided for adults and children, and all who attend event will receive a special 100th anniversary gift while supplies last. The celebration will take place, rain or shine, starting at the hospital's main parking lot at 819 North First Street.

"To thank the community for their support over the past century, we felt strongly that we needed to share this special celebration with everyone," said Tiffany Poland, hospital Director of Marketing and Community Outreach. "We've planned a family-friendly event with fun activities for children such as face-painting, a scavenger hunt and more. Our staff and physicians will also be available to offer free health screenings and provide a behind-the-scenes tour of most hospital departments including our emergency department, surgical suites and patient rooms."

Trinity Hospital Twin City was originally founded as Twin City Hospital in August 1912.

The hospital is a not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare provider that is committed to providing compassionate care for each patient while remaining focused on the core values of reverence, service and stewardship.

The hospital is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania.
