Fun festival planned
GNADENHUTTEN -- Gnadenhutten Moravian Fun Festival will be Friday, June 14 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 15 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in conjunction with the village yard sales. This year's activities include a kids activity area complete with a bounce house, dunk tank and games; a bake sale featuring Moravian sugar cakes, cookies, cupcakes and fudge; a yard sale with treasures galore; a silent auction and lunch stand. The silent auction is a Friday only activity. Bidding is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the winner need not be present to win. A couple of the auction items include Columbus Crew, Trumpet in the Land, Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds tickets.
This year, they are pleased to offer a Cleveland Browns tote including a mug, license plate frame and much more arriving almost daily.
The lunch stand has the best pulled pork sandwiches ever! Other menu items include burgers, hot dogs and coneys, macaroni salad, fries, baked beans, water, pop, lemon shake-ups. This year, they will be offering delivery from the lunch stand. They are limiting the delivery area to Gnadenhutten. They also ask that if you have a large order or would like your delivery at a specific time to please let them know in advance. New this year is a cornhole tournament to be Saturday at 10 a.m. Cash prizes will be awarded according to the number of participants. Registration is Friday and is $5 per two person team.

Church to have Vacation Bible School
COSHOCTON -- The Children's Ministry department announces that from June 3 to 7, the Roscoe United Methodist Church will be host to Vacation Bible School.
The daily Kingdom Rock will take place from 9 to 11:30 a.m. each day with Bible Stories, fun songs, games and a snack.
The closing program will be during the June 9 at the 10:30 a.m. service.

Churches planning special event
BAKERSVILLE -- A special event is being planned at two area churches on Sunday, June 9.
At 9:30 a.m., the Bakersville Presbyterian Church, 28164 Coshocton County Road 97, Bakersville, and again at 11 a.m. at the Fresno Presbyterian Church, 54169 White Eyes Township Road 172 (Main Street), Fresno, will feature the Rev. Gladstone Joseph, a United Methodist Church pastor from Annanagar, South India. Rev. Joseph will be accompanied by Dr. Patrick Johnston and The Johnston Family Singers from Zanesville.
The Rev. Joseph was clearly transformed by the gospel of God. He ministers in one of the poorest slums imaginable and his highly respected by reverends and ministers in his district, and by the people he serves.
Dr. Johnston is the doctor in Dresden. He has authored numerous books, the father of eight children who make up the Johnston Family Singers.
