COSHOCTON -- This will be the 32nd year for balloons to take flight over the rolling hills and farms of Coshocton County. The Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival presented by the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Frontier Power is the longest continuously running hot air balloon festival in Ohio. This year, the event will be Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9, with launches and fly-ins taking place (weather permitting) at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds located at 707 Kenilworth Ave. in Coshocton. Admission, parking, and musical entertainment are free.
A full slate of fun and entertainment will also take place over the weekend at the Fairgrounds. Visitors can enjoy midway attractions, craft booths, antiques flea market, carnival rides, fireworks, photo contest, karaoke, nightglow, musical entertainment, food vendors and many other family-oriented activities. On Friday night, enjoy free musical entertainment including The Wayfarers, The Railers From Nashville, and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Saturday entertainment throughout the day features a variety of live music and performances from several groups including Miss Jennifer's Dance Studio, Jodie's Dance, Ashleigh Kingsmore, and the Retrovox Band. The popular balloon 'Night Glow' takes place around 9:15 p.m.
On Sunday, June 9, R & D Promotions Karaoke will be on the stage throughout the afternoon beginning at 2 p.m. Balloon launches and fly-ins will take place (weather permitting) on Friday, June 7 around 6 p.m.; Saturday, June 8, around 6 a.m. and again around 6 p.m.; and Sunday, June 9, around 6 a.m.
