Summer is off and running at the Newcomerstown Public Library.

They started the weekly farmers markets on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the library parking lot. New vendors are joining them every week.

Starting June 3, summer reading programs for both, children and adults, will begin.

Friday, June 7 is another trivia night, which has become quite popular. You can call the library to add your team to the limited registration at 498-8228.

They are also excited to announce that they now have over 2,000 movies in the collection, and they are raising the number of movies each cardholder can check out to four instead of just two. Plus, they are adding games for Playstation, Xbox, and Wii to the collection. Each cardholder will be able to check out two games.

Of course, there are lots of good books to choose from as well.

Come in and check out what's new and they look forward to being a part of your summer.
