On May 17, the Newcomerstown Middle School seventh grade students and teachers took an educational field trip to the Norma Johnson Center (NJC) in Dover. The NJC is a 303-acre nature preserve complete with trees, ponds and wildlife, located in the Brandywine Valley. While at the NJC, students spent the day rotating to six different stations, learning about butterflies, frogs, toads and macro-invertebrates. They also completed a scavenger hunt and guided nature hike. After eating lunch, students potted flowers and participated in some Ohio Animal Trivia.
