Soul'd Out Quartet to perform

WEST LAFAYETTE -- The presence of God will be felt Friday, Dec. 6 at the First Baptist Church in West Lafayette when the Soul'd Out Quartet makes its appearance at 7 p.m.

The Soul'd Out Quartet is based out of Georgetown and is a group of five young men who write and perform gospel music. They sing everything from contemporary Christian music to old hymns passed down through the generations.

The quartet is returning due to overwhelming requests from last year's performance. It will be a free concert with a love offering to be taken during the event that will go towards helping the group with their expenses.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and performance starts at 7 p.m.

Crave Young Adult Ministries set

Christ United Methodist Church, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown, is excited to announce the launch of a new ministry aimed at reaching out to the young adults of the community.

What is Crave? Crave is a ministry for young adults built around Christ-centered, organic and sacred worship, with the aim of creating a generation that craves God and being in His Presence above all else.

Who is Crave for? Crave worship and events are targeted toward all young adults that are seeking to deepen their faith and relationship with God, however, anyone of any age is welcome. What can I expect? Come to Crave worship expecting an encounter with God in a relaxed, laid back environment. Crave worship focuses on powerful worship and challenging messages based on the life changing Word of God. When and where. Crave worship happens the third Thursday of each month in Hebrews coffee house at Christ UMC. Hebrews coffee house will be open before and after worship.

Crave special events will also take place throughout the year. What about my kids? Crave Kids will take places during each of the Crave Worship events, providing your children a place where they can have fun and grow in their faith.

Thanksgiving services set

On Nov. 24 at 6 p.m., the Gnadenhutten Community Thanksgiving Services, with Pastor Seth Filburn from Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church, will take place at the Gnaden Full Gospel, 7550 Wolf Crossing Road, Gnadenhutten.

Organ concert planned

An organ concert featuring Christmas music for organ and voice with Dixie Lee and Walter Heck is planned for Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 135 S. River St., Newcomerstown.

Turkey Supper and Bazaar set

PORT WASHINGTON -- The annual Turkey Supper and Bazaar at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, located at the corner of High and Arch streets, Port Washington, is set for Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 4 to 7 p.m.

The menu includes, turkey and dressing, real mashed potatoes and gravy, noodles, green beans, assorted salads, assorted desserts, bread and beverage.

The cost for the dinner is $9 for adults and $4 for children (under 12).

The meal is open to the public.

Thanksgiving service planned

BAKERSVILLE -- The Bakersville Presbyterian Church, 28164 Coshocton County Road 97, will be hosting a joint Thanksgiving service, Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 6:45 p.m. Speaker and special music will be provided by the Amish Mennonite Fellowship Church.

All friends, churches, pastors in and around the Bakersville community are cordially invited to the event.

Each person attending is asked to bring non-perishable food staples or canned goods to be given to needy families. A love offering will be taken for billboard evangelism with Christian Aid Ministries.

Stevens coming to Nc'town church

Kathy Stevens, vocalist from The Gospel Hill Ministry, will be providing special music at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Newcomerstown on Sunday, Nov. 17 at the 10:30 a.m. worship service.

Everyone is invited to worship with the folks of St. Paul and hear Stevens sing her praises to the Lord.

Church to have Swiss steak dinner

TUSCARAWAS -- St. James Lutheran Church, 215 Church St., will have its annual Swiss steak dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the church basement.

Menu includes: Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, rolls and butter, pie, coffee or punch.

The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under.
