DOVER -- The Tuscarawas County Humane Society is getting a helping hand with their Shelter Me fundraising campaign from an online Thirty-One Gifts fundraiser.

The Humane Society began a $1,110,000 fundraising campaign in March 2013 to develop five acres of donated land in New Philadelphia into one spacious and efficient facility to replace two buildings they are currently using.

Local Thirty-One Gifts Senior Consultant Heather Phelps is assisting by holding an online party to sell products and donate commission proceeds to the Humane Society. Her goal is to raise $1,000 and the sale will be ongoing until she meets her goal.

Thirty-One Gifts is the nation's largest direct-selling provider of exclusive, stylish and functional fashion accessories, totes and organizing solutions. Beyond providing their products, Thirty-One is founded on ideals of giving back to the community and supporting women by helping them live more rewarding, meaningful lives.

The new Humane Society facility will mean many improvements and opportunities, enabling them to offer the highest quality medical and adoption services for more than 300 animals in its care each year. It also will help cut costs associated with managing two separate facilities they currently operate.
