COSHOCTON -- An infant was seriously injured Saturday evening (April 26) when he and his mother were thrown from their Amish buggy during an accident at a Crawford Township location in Coshocton County.
The 9-month-old boy was flown by MedFlight to Akron Children's Hospital. A nursing supervisor with the hospital said she was unable to release any information regarding his condition.
The boy's mother, Amanda Yoder, 39, suffered minor injuries during the accident at approximately 5:30 p.m.
According to reports, the boy's father, Raymond Yoder, was loading items into the horse-drawn buggy when the horse became spooked and took off running. The buggy reportedly upset and ejected by Amanda Yoder and the infant, Jeremy Yoder.
It was not known if the horse was injured during the accident.
