COSHOCTON -- The Clary Gardens Taste for Summer Wine & BBQ Fest on May 17 has a full course of food, wine tastings, live music, BBQ vendors, and arts and crafts booths. The event takes place from noon to 9 p.m. at Clary Gardens, 588 W. Chestnut St. (Route 541) in Coshocton.
The Taste for Summer is a fundraiser for garden projects at Clary Gardens, specifically towards the developing children's garden. Tickets for the Taste For Summer event are $10 for admission. Wine tasting tickets are an additional $10 for 10 wine tastings (which includes a complimentary wine glass), and the beer tastings are $5 for 6 beer tastings. Parking is free.
Wineries attending the event include: Troutman Vineyards, Shawnee Springs Winery, Swiss Heritage Winery, Raven's Glenn Winery, Yellow Butterfly Winery, Buckeye Winery, Emerine Estates Winery, The Winery at Wolf Creek, and Black Sheep Vineyard. Breweries include: Marietta Brewing Company and Weasel Boy Brewing Company from Zanesville.
