KIMBOLTON -- The Foraker Family and Friends will pay tribute to Virgil Foraker, former leader of their band, on Sunday, June 1 at the Kimbolton Community Center. According to Dana Foraker, the band plans to play some of his father's favorite songs during a one hour session from 1 to 2 p.m.

The Foraker Band had been a faithful participant in the monthly music shows for many years until the time of Virgil's decline in health and passing earlier this year.

Line up for the day will include Rod Bradford and Friends from noon until 1 p.m., followed by The Forakers.

Ray McFadden's Band will entertain from 2 until 3 p.m. and an "open mic" session will be from 3 to 4 p.m.

Menu for the day will include baked steak and chicken dinners, as well as an assortment of sandwiches, salads and homemade desserts. Carry-out is available.

This event, sponsored by The Kimbolton Homecoming Committee, is open to the public with no admission charge.
