Bricks, 4-inches by 8-inches, with laser engraving will be placed around the walkway of the Cy Young Pool, Newcomerstown. Bricks are $40 each. To honor all veterans and to celebrate Flag Day, the Newcomerstown Historical Society is hosting Vane Scott III's "Many Faces of Old Glory." It is a patriotic and entertaining show with more than 20 historical flags telling the story of "How we got our flag and how we got the United States." The program is set for Saturday, June 14 (Flag Day) at the Olde Main Street Museum and Social Center, 213 W. Canal St., Newcomerstown. The show starts at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and includes free refreshments. The show is free to any World War II veteran. To reserve tickets, call 498-8803.
Library board to meet
The Newcomerstown Public Library Board will have a special meeting on June 3 at 6 p.m. in the Library Annex (downstairs).
The meeting will be in executive session to personnel review.
Beard growing contest winners
On Saturday, June 28, during Cy Young Days in Newcomerstown, the judges will announce the winners of the beard growing contest. Judging will begin at 4 p.m.
'Old tyme' baseball game set
On Sunday, June 29, during Cy Young Days in Newcomerstown, there will be an "old tyme" baseball game at the Cy Young Memorial Park which will begin at 1 p.m.
TOPS meets on Tuesdays
TOPS, Taking Off Pounds Sensibly, Chapter 2227, in Newcomerstown, has meetings each Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the lobby of Christ United Methodist Church, Newcomerstown.

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off
Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
