For the 2014-2015 school year, students at the East and West Elementary schools will receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at no charge.

The meals are provided at no charge because of the Newcomerstown Exempted Village School District's participation in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the upcoming school year.

"Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application," according to Linda Mullens, Cafeteria manager in the Newcomerstown School District. "There will be ala carte items available for purchase but students will have to have money in their accounts to purchase all ala carte items. There is to be no charging of any items."

However, this program is not available for Newcomerstown Middle School and Newcomerstown High School students.

For information on this program, contact Mullens at 498-4151, ext. 13135.
