DOVER -- The Norma Johnson Center will host its annual "Celebrate the Season" event and "Luminary Trail Walk" on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 3 to 7 p.m.
Activities will take place at the Red Barn located on Conservation Drive across from the picnic shelter. Those attending will have a chance to take a family hike along the trails, participate in story time, create a family photo opportunity and tell Santa last minute requests for the North Pole while sipping hot chocolate and nibbling on cookies. A petting zoo will be located in the bottom of the red barn, with animals provided by Rivercrest Farms and local community members.
Our second annual Luminary Trail Walk will begin at 5 p.m. All are invited to walk the trail past the pond and into the pines, where community-made luminaries will light the way. If you are interested in making luminaries for our event please visit our web site normajohnsoncenter.com for rules and requirements. Completed luminaries must be received by Dec. 4.
Join us for an afternoon and early evening of fun. Dress for the weather because the barn is not heated. There is no charge for the event but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The Norma Johnson Center is located off State Route 39 between Dover and Sugarcreek. The red barn is located on Conservation Drive located just off of Old SR 39.
