Sunday Night Alive events planned

COSHOCTON -- The Roscoe United Methodist Church, 475 High St. Coshocton, invites the community to join us for a fun and exciting new program Sunday Night Alive. Sunday afternoons from 4 to 6 p.m., they will gather for informal worship, breakup by age groups for lessons and activities, and come back together for a family meal.

This fall our theme is Christianity 101, What We Believe -- and Why.

FRESNO -- What do your prayers and the ancient Jewish altar of incense have in common? Find out at FaithTalks for adults on Dec. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Chili Crossroads Bible Church. Enjoy gourmet coffee in a relaxed setting.

Kids 0-18 wear ugly sweaters for Ugly Sweater Fest and enjoy fun, games and learning. Visitors welcome. Kitchen makes salads and pizza every Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. Proceeds benefit the children's ministry. Call ahead to order at 545-9707.

Christmas pageant set

FRESNO -- Come see the production of the "The Three Trees" Christmas pageant with the combined children/adult choir, special media effects and drama at the Chili Crossroads Bible Church. 'On Christmas Day' to be

performed

COSHOCTON -- The music department of the Roscoe UMC announces the presentation of "On Christmas Day" arranged and written by Marty Parks on Sunday, Dec. 14, during the 10:30 a.m. service.

The 55 minute presentation to be held in the church sanctuary will feature the 22 voice chancel choir and 12 piece orchestra with narration. The service will conclude with the singing of The Hallelujah Chorus with audience participation.

The public is invited to this performance for Christ's Edification and your listening enjoyment. Roscoe UMC is located at 475 High St. in Coshocton (Historic Roscoe Village). Dress rehearsal will on Wednesday, Dec. 10 beginning at 6:30 p.m. and is open to those that cannot attend the Dec. 14 event.

Church to have celebrate the birth of our Savior

Christ United Methodist Church, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown, will celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.

The children and youth will re-enact that magical night as the adult choir sings, "Were You There on That Christmas Night?"

Everyone is invited to the fellowship hall for cookies and punch following the performance.

Cookie and candy sale

Isleta United Methodist Church will have its ninth annual Christmas Cookie and Candy sale in the church basement on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 8 to 11 a.m.

There will be hundreds of delicious holiday cookies and candies to choose from, and you can make up your own assortment of favorites.

The price is $6.50 per pound.

Plan to come early for the best selection.

FRESNO -- All adults welcome to come out for FaithTalks on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m. to explore the Holy of Holies of the ancient Jewish Tabernacle.

Why did the veil separate the Holy of Holies from the holy place? Bring your kids age 0-18 for Awana points night. Visitors welcome. Kitchen makes fresh salads and pizza from scratch every Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m.
