NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Leadership Tuscarawas participants held "Lunch With A Leader" sessions in March as part of their continuing journey to learn effective leadership skills.
Participants in the Signature Program of Leadership Tuscarawas met in small groups with area leaders to learn about community leadership in action from the leaders themselves.
"Through 'Lunch With A Leader,' class participants heard first-hand the stories of how our community leaders came to their current roles, what advice they would give future leaders and what they feel are the challenges future leaders will face in our community," said Rich Geib, who with his wife Cathy teaches the curriculum for the Signature Program.
Class participants learned from non-profit and for-profit community leaders as well as those in government and other public agencies.
The 2015 Leadership Tuscarawas class includes nearly 20 participants representing a variety of small businesses, corporations and nonprofit organizations around Tuscarawas County.
The 2014-15 curriculum will conclude with class graduation in May.
The Mission of Leadership Tuscarawas is to develop passionate, visionary leaders to strengthen the community.
