After 20 years in practice, Dr. Scott Keating, O.D., has sold his Newcomerstown practice to Insight Vision Care.
"I have known the folks from Insight Vision Care for many years and can say with confidence that they have the skill and experience to serve the eye care needs of this community," Dr. Keating said. "They have served Sugarcreek for over 25 years and are excited for the opportunity to serve this area as well."
As of June 1, Dr. Ari Yoder, O.D., and Dr. Nathan Kaufman, O.D., took over the practice located at 210 Cross St., Newcomerstown.
"Things have been going great," Dr. Yoder said about coming to Newocmerstown. "I love the people here."
Dr. Yoder, who lives in Baltic, said the office continues to provide the same full family eye care including glasses, contacts, and treatment of eye diseases. They also offer eye therapy at their Sugarcreek office, where Dr. Nathan Kaufman's father, Dr. Mark Kaufman, along with Dr. Yoder, practice in the office.
Dr. Yoder graduated from Garaway High School, Mount Vernon Nazarene University and the Ohio State University School of Optometry. He is married to his wife, Tessa, of seven years. They have two sons, one 16 months old and one born on the day the Newcomerstown practice opened (June 1).
Dr. Nathan Kaufman was home-schooled, and graduated from University of Akron and the Ohio State University School of Optometry. He is married to his wife, Karen, of three years.
The same friendly office staff is still in place. Mary and Dorothy continue to do a great job, Dr. Yoder said.
The Newcomerstown office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. However, doctor's hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday and one Saturday a month.
