NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Tuscarawas County Job and Family Services will be offering assistance for purchasing back to school items.
If you are in receipt of cash or food assistance benefits, or if you are below 200 percent of the federal poverty guideline, you could qualify for help with back to school items.
Assistance includes: $200 per child enrolling kindergarten through sixth; $250 per child enrolling seventh through eighth grade; and $300 per child enrolling ninth through twelfth grade.
The assistance can be used to purchase clothing, shoes or supplies at Wal-Mart (New Philadelphia location only).
Applications available online from July 20 through July 24 or in person (must bring proof of income for the last 30 days and the last report card for your child).
